Sentiment Analysis on Amazon's Customer Reviews

Image
Sentiment Analysis, also referred to as opinion mining, is an approach to natural language processing (NLP) that identifies the emotional tone behind a body of text. This is a popular way for organizations to determine and categorize opinions about a product, service or idea. It involves the use of data mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence to mine text for sentiment and subjective information. Types of Sentiment Analysis Fine-grained sentiment analysis provides a more precise level of polarity by breaking it down into further categories, usually very positive to very negative. This can be considered the opinion equivalent of ratings on a 5-star scale. Emotion detection identifies specific emotions rather than positivity and negativity. Examples could include happiness, frustration, shock, anger and sadness. Intent-based analysis recognizes actions behind a text in addition to opinion. For example, an online comment expressing frustration about changing a battery c...

'PAWS' - A Website for Animal Rescue and Adoption

Image
Roughly 6.5 Million animals enter shelters each year but only 3.2 Million are adopted. Approximately 85 Million families are pet owners. 28% of dogs and 31% of cats are adopted out of shelters each year. In 2020, people spent $99 Billion on their pets. In 2020, 32% fewer dogs and 23% fewer cats entered animal shelters decreased by 44%. Homeless animals outnumber homeless people by 5 to 1. Only 10% of dogs born will find a permanent home. Only 25-30% of dogs in shelters are pure-breeds. The rest are mostly mutts! Reasons people abandon pets Human housing issues Behavioral issues Aggression towards humans/animals Owner no longer has time for pets Age of the pet Owner's death of illness Birth of a child Animal grows too large About the project 'PAWS' is a noble approach to save stray dogs, cats and other pets abandoned by their owners. Through this website, we aim to prevent and eliminate all cruelty to all animals whether arising through ignorance, neglect or deliberate cru...

Speed and Direction Control of DC Motor Using Arduino

Image
In this project, we demonstrated how to achieve Speed and Direction Control of a DC Motor using Arduino UNO. It is a simple project using Arduino UNO and a few easily available components to control the speed of rotation of a DC motor and also its direction of rotation. Introduction A Direct Current (DC) motor is a type of electric machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. DC motors take electrical power through direct current and converts this energy into mechanical rotation. DC motors are found everywhere: electronics, toys, fans, tools, discs, pumps etc. DC motor include two key components: a Stator and an Armature. The stator is the stationary part of motor, while the armature rotates. In a DC motor, the stator provides a rotating magnetic field that drives the armature to rotate. There are different types of DC motors: Brushed DC motor, Brushless DC motor, Stepper DC motor, Shunt DC motor, Series DC motor. Generally, when a DC motor is associated with any mic...
